Stéphanie Lachance is a sustainable investment expert and corporate director. She recently joined Fiera Comox as Head of Sustainable Investment, a global investment manager of private investment strategies in Private Equity, Agriculture and Private Credit, where she leads the environmental, social and governance (ESG) and sustainability efforts. Stéphanie was most recently Managing Director and Head of Responsible Investment at PSP Investments, leading the Responsible Investment group that played a key role in the organization’s investment strategy in ensuring that ESG factors are incorporated in investment decisions across all asset classes.
A lawyer with a strong background in corporate governance, responsible investment, securities law and regulations, Stéphanie was providing legal advice to public issuers, stock exchanges and securities regulators prior to joining PSP Investments in 2006.
Stéphanie holds a Law Degree (LLB) from the Université de Montréal and is a member of the Quebec Bar. She is a holder of the Institute of Corporate Directors Director designation (ICD.D). She also serves on the board of the Food Banks of Quebec, is a member of the Investment Fund Review Committee of the Corporation de services du Barreau du Québec and is a member of the Investment Committee of the Canadian Medical Protective Association.
Stéphanie is also an instructor at the Institute of Corporate Directors for the sustainability module, and she is the co-author of “The Origins of ESG in Pensions: Strategies and Outcomes,” published by Wharton University Pension Research Council in 2021.
